-This evening it happens! Today the protector of the Satahanka IX camp, Ragnar Erlandsson is going to visit us. Mr Erlandsson is the spokesman of local landparliament and the member of the center party of Aland. His interests include sports, especially running and he also participates e.g. in charity work. Bomarsund's little archaeologists The Bomarsund Fortresses have been researched very little and the main fortification hasn't been under any sort of inspektion at all. Alands Museum is starting a major archaeological excavation here in a couple of years. The responsible for Archaeology-activity of Satahanka, Marja Sipilä of troop Maskun Hemmingin Tyttäret told that as a site this is very interesting. In the archaeology activity all scouts are going to make a Jomala Jettböle figure out of clay. The figure of this type is not known from any other area and thats why it has been chosen as a symbol for archaeology activity. After the ceramics the scouts are divided into groups which shall visit local museum, see cultural plants near Notvikstornet (e.g. plants that has been arrived here among cereals) and learn archaeology with Indiana Jones. The scouts will be able to do also some real work. They shall research remains of an old building which otherwise would be destructed by e.g growing treeroots. Suvi Laaksonen Visitors at Satahanka
